Installation instructions
To determine if you should update the utility programs, refer to the "Summary of changes" section.
Install
- Start Windows XP and log on with administrative privileges.
- Extract the Synaptics Touch Pad files to the hard disk drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\FPR.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- In the Open field, type ATMinInst.msi with the extracted directory to install the application.
Example: C:\DRIVERS\FPR\ATMinInst.msi - Click OK to start the installation process.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the Installation.
Unattended install
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
In the step 4. of the Clean Installation procedure type C:\DRIVERS\FPR\ATMinInst.msi /quiet /norestart in the Open box and click OK.
Uninstalling the driver
- Click Start and select Run.
- Type MsiExec.msi /I{0763E426-FB61-4CD3-B8C7-01A0F37CAAEB} in the Open field and click OK.
- Follow InstallShield Wizard to remove driver.
