This Firmware Update Utility Diskette updates the CD-ROM Drive firmware stored in the CD-ROM Drive to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
The primary reason to apply this update is to enable Windows 2000 support for the CD-ROM drive.
This release supports the following systems:
- ThinkPad 380XD, 380Z
- ThinkPad 390, 390E, 390X, i Series 1700
- ThinkPad 570
- ThinkPad 600, 600E
- ThinkPad 770, 770E, 770X, 770Z
- ThinkPad i Series 1400, 1500, Machine type 2621*
NOTE:
- Your Machine type is located on the bottom of your system next to the bar code label.
- Windows 2000 is not supported on the i Series 1400, 1500, machine type 2611.
- This utility checks the version of drive firmware automatically whether the firmware should be updated or not.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
