This is a hard drive firmware update. This update will fix early reliability issues in some drives.
This firmware applies to the following systems with 40GB, 60GB, or 80GB hard drives:
- ThinkPad R50, R50p
- ThinkPad T41, T41p
Only one file is needed to update the firmware. Users with Windows can download and apply the non-diskette release.
NOTE: Before running the update, you should save your work and close all open applications.
