Important Information


  • BIOS, abbreviation of Basic Input/Output System, is integrated in ROM chip on main board, which contains the basic input/output program, system configuration information, system startup self-check and pre-setup programs. BIOS provides most basic low-level hardware operations; it is the connection between software and hardware, and interfacing window of hardware and operating system.

    Note: Make note of any settings you have changed in the BIOS Configuration Utility. These settings may have to be re-entered after updating the BIOS.

    Attention: Do not power off or restart your computer during the BIOS flashing process, which will cause serious damage and improper functioning of your computer.

Update 80CN15WW.exe under Windows 8


Step1: Make sure AC and DC is present. And capacity of DC is more than 30%.

Step2: Copy 80cn15ww.exe to the root directory of USB key.

Step3: Boot system to Windows 8 and enter desktop metro.







Step4: Plug the USB key to USB port and find the USB key. Right click 80CN15WW.exe and select “run as administrator”.





Step5:The system will pop up the prompt box as below picture. Please click OK button. The system will reboot automatically and will update BIOS/EC during boot stage.




Step6: The system is updating BIOS/EC. Please don’t do anything until the update process finished. After that, the system will reboot automatically.








Update 80CN15WW.exe under DOS


Step1: Make sure AC and DC is present. And capacity of DC is more than 30%.
Step2: Prepare a USB key and make sure the USB key is available for DOS boot . Copy 80CN15WW.exe to the root directory of USB key.
Step3: Plug the USB key to USB port and power on the system. Before the logo of “Lenovo” pop up on the screen, press the Key “Fn+F2” to enter BIOS setup.
Step4: Select Boot form and change boot mode item from UEFI to Legacy Support.




Step5: Press Fn+F10 to save and exit.




Step6: Before the logo of “Lenovo” pop up on the screen, press the Key “Fn+F12” to enter Boot Manager. Select USB key device and boot to DOS.




Step7: Run 80CN15WW.exe. The system will reboot automatically and begin to update. After the update process finished, The system will reboot automatically.




Step8: Before the logo of “Lenovo” pop up on the screen, press the Key “Fn+F2” to enter BIOS setup again.

Step9: Select Boot form and change boot mode item from Legacy Support to UEFI. (Similar as Step4)

Step10: Press Fn+F10 to save and exit. (Similar as Step5)
