IBM ThinkPad X30, X31, X32 Drivers and software for Windows

The ThinkPad X3 series is part of IBM’s ultra portable range and it’s certainly slim and light. IBM was one of the first companies to produce an ultraportable system based on the Intel Pentium M processor and its X31 ThinkPad is still going strong. There are so many things that were done right with the design of this system that little can be said against it. It balances performance, with superb battery life. Add the extended life battery and this system can stay running for what seems like forever. If there is one flaw with the ThinkPad X31 it has to be the X3 UltraBase being necessary for an optical drive. While made for businesses, this also makes a great consumer PC.

IBM ThinkPad R50e Drivers and Software for Windows 2000, XP, Vista

IBM’s ThinkPad R50e may be a value oriented notebook computer, but its lack of competitive components means that consumers can find units for a similar price with a lot more features.

Overall, the ThinkPad R50e could be a fairly decent machine but the standard specifications put it well behind many other comparably priced budget notebooks. Those who travel frequently may be willing to accept the drawbacks as a trade-off for the data protection features.
