This BIOS Update Utility updates the BIOS (system program including the Embedded Controller (EC) program) stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
Supported ThinkPad systems:
- R61e
- R61i; 15.4 inch widescreen model without IEEE 1394 (Machine type: 7650)
Suported Operating Systems:
- Windows 7 32-bit
- Windows 7 64-bit (*1)(*2)
- Windows Vista 32-bit
- Windows Vista 64-bit (*1)(*2)
- Windows XP (Home Edition and Professional)
Notes:
*1: Windows 7 or Vista 64-bit support Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors only.
*2: If Windows 7 or Vista 64-bit is already installed on your system, then you must use the BIOS Update CD for the BIOS update.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
