A security issue has been identified with the Access Support (all versions) and Access IBM (versions 3.0 and 3.5) applications. Installing this update will protect your computer by correcting the identified security issue; we recommend that you install it immediately.

Access Support fix pack 3 will delete Access Support setup files that it is unable to repair. The only files it will delete are files that enable reinstallation of the Access Support application. No other files, applications, or directories will be affected by this patch.

If you have installed Access Support fix pack 1 or 2, you should also install fix pack 3 even if you have not reinstalled Access Support.

Access Support fix pack 3 also addresses an issue where Symantec's Norton Anti Virus may identify and flag associated files. To avoid continuing to get Norton AntiVirus notifications, please install fix pack 3.

See the "Additional information" section to learn which files may be reported by Norton AntiVirus.

If you have not installed Access Support fix packs 1 or 2, please install Access Support fix pack 3, which will both eliminate the security vulnerabilities and prevent you from receiving Symantec's Norton AntiVirus notifications about the associated files.
