This BIOS Update Utility updates the BIOS (system program) and the Embedded Controller(EC) program stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.

Notes:
*1: Windows Vista and 7 64-bit support Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors only.
*2: If Windows 7 or Vista 64-bit is already installed on your system, then you must use the bootable CD ISO format of this BIOS update.
