This BIOS Update Utility updates the BIOS (system program including the Embedded Controller (EC) program) stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
This release supports the following systems: (*1)
- ThinkPad R61 (14.1 inch widescreen models without IEEE 1394)
- ThinkPad R61 (15.4 inch widescreen models)
- ThinkPad R61i (15.4 inch widescreen models)
Note:
*1: Applicable for certain models only, please refer to the Supported system list in the readme file for more details.
The following operating systems are supported:
- Windows 7 32-bit
- Windows 7 64-bit (*1)
- Windows Vista 32-bit
- Windows Vista 64-bit (*1)
- Windows XP (Home Edition and Professional)
- Windows 2000
Notes:
(1*) If Windows Vista or 7 64-bit is already installed on your system, then you must use the bootable CD ISO format of this BIOS update.
